Belly Dance Workout:

Beginning January 2007 - Tuesday nights 7:30 - 8:30:
One hour of bellydance for all levels. No instruction, just dancing with a rigorous 15 minute warm-up. Designed purely for exercise. To be held at :

Advanced / Professional:

Yasmin offers a 2 year professional class for Advanced students who would like to learn how to perform in cabarets or restaurants. Classes meet one night per week for 2 hours (8:00 - 10:00pm) in Bethesda, MD. Homework is assigned after every class. The fee is $20.00 / week. The style of dance is Egyptian. Acceptance into the course is by audition only.

Drum solos
Beledi
Taxim
Finale
Cane
Zills
Music Comprehension / selection
Oriental stage make-up
Costumes
Facial expressions / Emotional content
Work etiquette
Improvisation
Working with musicians
Stage presence
History of the dance
Performing for cameras

Each student will be filmed during their in-class performances (about 6) and critiqued as the class progresses. Each will also be given a DVD of these performances after graduation. Part of the final exam is a 15 min performance in front of an audience who will grade the student on a wide range of topics.

PLEASE NOTE:
